K24 TV Anchor Jeff Mote Quits After Landing International Job

K24 news anchor Jeff Mote on Thursday, April 13 revealed that he is set to quit the TV station after five years.

Highly-placed sources intimated to Kenyans.co.ke that Mote made the decision to part ways with Mediamax, the company that owns K24, Milele FM and People Daily, after landing a job at an international firm, Sandin Consulting.

He was appointed as the company's Head of Media Partnerships -Africa Division on a permanent basis

"Mote left because of a conflict of interest due to the nature of his new role. He is looking forward to the new engagement in creating synergies and unique content products across the continent," the insider revealed.

Sandin Consulting welcomed the seasoned journalist to their team, citing his proven track record in the media industry.

Jeff is a seasoned broadcast journalist with years of experience in handling a wide range of assignments.

Prior to his exit, Mote hosted the K24 This Morning show. He joined the media station in November 2017 as a senior anchor.

He has a decorated career in media spanning 15 years and wore many hats including anchor, presenter, voice-over artist, moderator, and corporate master of ceremony.

Mote started out as a radio presenter at Homeboyz Radio in 2007. In 2014, he joined Radio Africa Group in the same capacity for three years before he joined Media Max.

The anchor has also worked for Deutsche Welle Africa, Reuters Africa, and Arabian Radio Network.

In 2011, he launched his own consultancy firm, Mediascape Limited, and is a facilitator at the Communic8 Voiceover Workshop.

Mote holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Daystar University and a Master's in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Nairobi.
