The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released placement results for students who made applications to join Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).

In a statement dated Wednesday, August 23, the placement agency advised the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to use the portal to check their placement.

Upon logging into the portal, students.kuccps.net, the candidates will be provided with details of their selected centres of learning.

Students are required to log into the portal using their KCSE index number, applicant KCSE year and password.

According to KUCCPS, there were over 13,000 available slots for students who sat for their national examinations last year.

Courses that were preferred during the placement, which opened on July 15, included the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) programmes.

KUCCPS set a required mean grade of C plain for the applicants. 95,154 students scored C plain in last year's examinations.

"For the second year, the placement of trainees to the 32 public teacher training colleges will be handled by KUCCPS. Applicants will be seeking to fill 13,439 slots," read the statement in part.

"This opportunity is for qualified KCSE certificate holders including non-Kenyan citizens who sat the exam in 2022 or earlier until the year 2000," KUCCPS CEO Agnes Wahome added.

How to Apply

Log in to the student's Portal (students.kuccps.net) using the KCSE Index Number and KCSE Year.

Students should use the KCPE index number or Birth Certificate number for the password.

Upon logging in, the placement will be displayed on the dashboard.
