A family in the Riuriro area in Juja, Kiambu County is appealing for justice after their kin was killed in an inhumane manner and his boda boda stolen.
The deceased, a bodaboda rider from the area, went missing on Thursday evening, after extending past his usual working time to try and earn more money for the day.
Reports indicate that the man, who was also a pastor in Kenyatta Road was killed by being hacked and his eyes gouged out.
The wife, requesting the police to investigate the incident, called for justice to be served lamenting the burden that her husband's demise will now subject her to, as the late husband was the family’s breadwinner.
“We started looking for him on Thursday, and on Friday. We found his body on Saturday, cut badly,” the wife narrated.
“He was a good person, he never wronged anyone. Now he is gone and left me with four kids.”
Narrating his last moments, the deceased's friend and fellow boda boda rider stated that the two met at the bypass garden, where they shared a light moment before parting ways, on the day he went missing.
“I was with him at bypass garden. He told me he wanted to extend into the night to try and make more money for our chama, which he did not have at the time,” his fellow boda boda rider narrated.
Citing the increasing number of theft cases in the area, a resident requested that the government consider creating another police post, to tame the growing incidents.
“Boda boda riders are getting killed and their motorbikes stolen, and no action has been taken,” she stated.
This comes after residents from Kairungu Location in Kitui County on Monday morning hunted down a man accused of killing his wife and fleeing with her head.
Upon catching up with the assailant, the angry residents later took matters into their own hands and killed him.
