DJ Joe Mfalme Turned Into State Witness in Murder Case

Popular Disc Jockey, Joseph  Mwenda alias DJ Joe Mfalme has been set free in the case where he had been accused of being involved in the murder of Felix Kelian, the deceased detective from the Kabete Police Station.

According to reports, the DJ will now be a State witness in the case alongside five other respondents.

Reportedly, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) recommended that the DJ’s hypeman, Allan Ochieng alias Hype Ballo be charged with the murder.

Further, the DJ will now be released from remand and will testify in the case going forward.

Previously, the DJ was accused of murder alongside members of his entourage and police officers from Kikuyu Police Station.

The accused, Allan Ochieng, will be charged with the murder on April 8 before a Kiambu High Court.

DJ Joe, several members of his entourage and the police officers had been detained for 14 days to facilitate investigations.

The entertainer and his associates were arrested on March 23, after an altercation with Felix Kelian over a traffic incident in Kikuyu. At the time, the DJ was coming from an entertainment joint where he plays.

Reportedly, the entourage attacked the officer while in the company of police officers from the Kikuyu Police station who had joined in the fracas.

The deceased's relatives told journalists that the officer later developed stomach complications and succumbed to his injuries after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.

After news of his arrest rocked the headlines, the DJ released a statement through his social media platforms stating that he empathized with the victim's family and friends.

He also pledged to collaborate with law enforcement authorities while they conducted investigations into the case.
