Ex-TNA Secretary-General Onyango Oloo Explains Why He Left Uhuru's Jubilee Party

Former TNA Secretary-General Onyango Oloo has finally spoken on why he has cut links with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party.

Speaking during a press conference, Mr Oloo accused President Kenyatta of "conning" TNA and the other 10 parties that had merged into the Jubilee Party.

He noted that folding of the parties sucked life out of TNA which was formed to promote National Alliance.

"Little did I know that we were being led to a very vile and vicious political conmanship. Our TNA ideologies were carried into the Jubilee Merger but they have been thrust aside" Oloo stated.

The former staunch supporter of Mr Kenyatta complained that "the Jubilee Party no longer stands for what TNA stood for."

He accused the other parties in the Jubilee merger of supporting corruption in the country, questioning why leaders named in graft were still holding public office.

Mr Oloo promised to dismantle all TNA networks across the country with spirited fervour.

Oloo also hit out at Raphael Tuju highlighting that it was unfortunate that Kenyatta had appointed him as the Jubilee Party Secretariat yet he was formerly aligned to the CORD Coalition.

Other TNA grass root officials who had accompanied Oloo vowed to embark on a mass defection starting Thursday 10 am.

"TNA is the backbone of Jubilee but President Uhuru Kenyatta abandoned us. This is a tragedy Uhuru has brought to himself," Desmond Shinaka, TNA Chairman Kakamega County said.

Oloo announced that he will be joining ODM and boldly stated that he would make every move possible to ensure that CORD leader Raila Odinga wins the 2017 Presidential race.
