Fly 540 has cancelled all its afternoon flights today.
The airline says they are doing so out of fear that the flights could be disrupted as Obama jets into the country.
The Kenyan airspace is expected to be closed for 50 minutes during Obamas arrival today and on Sunday, during his departure.
Fly540 has however said they do not want to take chances with their flights as the airspace could be closed for longer than that.
They have therefore decided to cancel all afternoon flights out of Nairobi.
Kenya Airways had confirmed to its customers that there will be disruptions to its flight schedules during Obama’s visit.
They had also encouraged those flying out to be at the airport earlier than expected to as the roads will be closed afternoon.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) said there will be ban on planes flying lower than 20,000 feet for the duration of Obama’s three-day visit.
