Isaac Ruto Reveals His Main Problem with Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has disclosed the main problem he has with President Uhuru Kenyatta which he says has made him remain adamant to support the Jubilee Party.

Speaking to the Daily Nation, Ruto mentioned that despite Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's recent endorsement of President Kenyatta, he would never do the same because Jubilee changed its strategy once it came to power.

According to the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Chairman, since Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were elected they neglected the promises they made to Kenyans.

"My problem with Jubilee government in about what raia (ordinary Kenyans) will get. The President has not proved in the last four years that he can assist raia to have a better life," he said.

The Governor highlighted that he was surprised when Mr Moi's party, KANU, announced its support for Kenyatta after being in disagreement for a long time.

"I do not know what KANU suddenly discovered in Uhuru after disagreeing with him for over four years. It is the nature of politics," Ruto noted.

Earlier, the Bomet boss announced that he had launched a mass member recruitment exercise for his CCM Party in the Rift Valley.

He stated that he strategically started the move to make sure that the ruling coalition would not have a chance in the August 8 General Election.

"CCM has already registered 100,000 members over the last one month and we will ensure that our party is the dominant one here," the Governor stated.
