Family members of the slain controversial businessman Jacob Juma now claim their lives could be in danger after the brutal murder of their kin on Thursday night.
They have called on the Government to provide protection from Juma's assailants so they can evade the same fate.
Juma's brother Eliud Makokha revealed that the deceased repeatedly informed them that he was targetted by powerful Government officials but they never paid keen interest.
“He kept telling us that his life was in danger and we did not want to believe him. We just wished that it would go away,” Makokha was quoted by the Standard.
The family has also pleaded with the Government to speed up investigations and bring to book the suspects who committed the heinous act.
“Investigations should start immediately. We don’t want what just happened to disappear into thin air. Those responsible should pay for what they have done,” Makokha stated.
Juma was shot dead in cold blood as he was driving past Lenana School on his way home.
According to Nairobi CID Boss Ireri Kamwende, Juma's car was found sprayed with about ten bullets by unknown gunmen who escaped on motorbike.
