Nairobi Senator and gubernatorial aspirant Mike Sonko has invited his supporters to help him choose who should be his deputy ahead of the August 8 elections.
The flamboyant Senator took to his Facebook account, which has over 1.1 Million followers and asked his fans to assist him in choosing his running mate from a list of nine individuals.
"Great people of Nairobi, some say politics is about numbers. This FB page of mine has over 1,123,000 fans out of which 825,892 are Nairobians. Hebu munisaidie hapa whom do you think deserves to be my Deputy Governor?" he posted.
The list included technocrats some of whom have been active in politics.
Here are the names of the preferred candidates:

Earlier, former Starehe Member of Parliament Bishop Wanjiru had threatened to leave the Jubilee Party and vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate if Sonko didn't appoint her as his running mate.
She claimed that she had signed an agreement with Sonko that if one of them won the nomination the other would automatically be running-mate. Sonko, however, denied her claims.
