Nominated MP Zuleikha Juma Calls for Probing of Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani

A Jubilee Member of Parliament has found himself in hot water after daring CORD leader Raila Odinga's 'to step in his Constituency if he was man enough'.

On Wednesday, Lunga Lunga legislator Khatib Mwashetani firmly stated that he would never allow Odinga and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to hold peaceful rallies in his constituency after he was heckled during the burial of Kwale Senator Juma Boy in Vanga.

"Let them come and hold a successful rally if they are men enough,” the infuriated legislator stated.

His statement angered nominated MP Zuleikha Juma that she called on the police to probe Mwashetani over the allegedly inflammatory remarks.

"We don’t want to be led by people who have disregard for the rule of law in the county. Who does Mwashetani think he is to threaten hundreds of thousands of ODM supporters in Kwale," Ms Juma said.

The nominated legislator added that Mwashetani does not compare to the former Prime Minister or Governor Joho adding that he must apologise to the two leaders.

"Joho has put the Coast people on the national map after many years of being in the cold,"  Juma said.
