Nyandarau MCAs Boycott Sessions Over Millions

Members of County Assembly in Nyandarua County have refused to hold debates at the County House until they were paid their allowances.

The MCAs protested against executing assembly duties over unpaid sitting and mileage allowances that have accumulated to Millions of shillings.

The Legislators blamed the County Assembly Public Service Board (CASPB) for failing to dispatch their allowances for the month of October.

In an informal meeting, the MCAs forced the Speaker Ndegwa Wahome to reschedule proceedings to next week Tuesday.

The members complained that they were using money from their own pockets to travel outside the country, hence they were putting the issue public so that residents knew their plight.
