Pastor Ng'ang'a in Court Again

City lawyer Cliff Ombeta has taken Pastor James Nganga to court over unpaid dues.

Ombeta, who was the televangelist's lawyer in the case where Ng'ang'a is accused of causing death through careless driving, claimed that his former client owed him Sh5.1 Million in legal fees.

The counsel who seized to represent the preacher citing lack of cooperation, said that Ng'ang'a was financially able to pay him and which is why he had moved to court.

Before falling out with his client, Ombeta had declined police request to have DNA samples drawn from Ng'ang'a to help in the investigations that would connect the preacher to the scene of the crime.

The July accident claimed the life of Mercy Njeri and severely injured her husband. Witnesses alluded that the Neno Evangelism Centre Pastor was on the wheels when the incident happened.

The pastor denied presence at the scene of crime and also ownership of the range rover vehicle involved in the tragic accident. Ng'ang'a was arrested, charged and released on a Sh500,000 cash bail.
