PHOTOS: Lion Killed After Injuring Boda-boda Rider

Days after a lion injured an elderly man along Mombasa Road, yet another wild cat was on Wednesday spotted roaming in Isinya town, Kajiado County, where it attacked a bodaboda operator.

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers deployed to capture the wild cat shot and killed the lion following the dangerous strike.

The bodaboda operator was rushed to hospital where he is nursing serious injuries.

According to reports, it is believed that the lion escaped from the Nairobi National Park before it was seen wandering along the Kajiado-Isinya road.

On March 18, a lion on the loose caused anxiety among motorists and pedestrians  along Mombasa road near the City Cabanas footbridge.

At the sight of the big cat, motorists started hooting and shouting frantically, scaring off the beast which ran upon noticing danger.

It was later realised that in the midst of the confusion, the big cat had attacked a 63-year old man leaving him with a bone fracture and minor injuries.
