President Uhuru Kenyatta Sings Thitima Song in Vote Registration Campaign

President Uhuru Kenyatta has in the past week demonstrated rare passion as he seeks to urge kenyans to register as voters in the ongoing mobilisation campaign.

From praying for rain, to singing live on Kameme radio station, he has now appeared in a rendition of the popular Thitima anthem.

On Sunday, the President shared a video where he is captured alongside musicians Kymo and Stigah – they of the Thitima comical hit.

The three sing along to a corrupted version of the song, calling on Kenyans to register as voters, failure to which they will face thitima (electricity/trouble).

On Friday, the President caused excitement on social media after he joined a local musician in singing a gospel vernacular song.

Kenyatta has appeared for alive interview on Kameme FM where he also called on Kenyans to turn up in large numbers and have their votes in readiness for the August 8 General Election.

The mass registration excercise announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will close on February 15.
