Priests in Homosexuality Saga Fight Back

Three Priests from the Anglican Church suspended over homosexuality have moved to court to challenge the decision.

The priests who now say that their interactivity with members of the society has been affected, filed a suit at the Employment and Labour Relations court seeking to repossess their licenses.

Rev Paul Mwangi Warui, Rev John Njogu Gachau, and Rev James Maina, filed cases against the Church Commissioners of Kenya, which stopped them from carrying out duties of the church.

The three were among five clergymen who were relieved off their duties after investigations by the church, concluded that there was enough evidence that linked them to the acts of gayism.

In the suit, they demand their reinstatement and their accumulated salaries since the suspension day, the Nation reports.

Bishop Joseph Kagunda of the Mount Kenya West Diocese, where the five were stationed, said that during investigations they established that some of the priests had engaged in the forbidden act for years.
