VIDEO: Uhuru Mocks the 'Pangani 6'

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday made fun of the eight Jubilee and CORD leaders who were arrested and detained for three days over hate speech.

Speaking during the 41st Kenya Secondary School Heads Association conference in Mombasa, Mr Kenyatta warned teachers who were found culpable of exam cheating, that there was a law in the making that would see them jailed for 10 years.

He went ahead and cited the 8 legislators to demonstrate that no one was above the law and teachers would follow the same path if found guilty.

Hata Wabunge wamejua huo mlango. Nyinyi pia mkitaka kufuata hiyo njia na kula maharagwe miaka kumi, ni sawa. Kuna chakula kingi huko....(Even the MPs now know the door (to police cells). If you want to follow that route and eat beans for 10 years, you are free to do so. There’s plenty of food there)’’ Uhuru warned.

The legislators; Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete), Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Junet Mohamed (Suna East) and Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati), Machakos Senator Johnson MuthamaFlorence Mutua (Busia) and Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi) were released on bond pending the hearing of their cases.

The MP's, who were held at Pangani and Muthaiga Police Stations under deplorable conditions seem to have forged a bond vowing to preach peace in the country.
