VIDEO: Waititu Thrown Out of Malindi Polling Station

Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu on Monday caused drama at a polling station in Malindi, where he was suspected by some residents of trying to manipulate voters.

Waititu was forced out of the polling centre and later taken to Malindi Police station but was released on a free bond.

In a video shared on Facebook, a woman accuses the controversial legislator of trying to solicit IDs from a group of five people, who had surrounded at a bench where he was sitted. 

An election official is seen engaging the two in order to establish what exactly transpired in light of the woman's accusation.

Also in the Malindi by-election, Mwea MP Peter Gitau was allegedly roughed by a group of young men who accused him of bribing voters.

Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa claimed that she found Gitau red-handed after receieving a call from one of her sisters that Jubilee operatives were dishing out money to voters.
