Waiguru's Home Raided by Detectives

Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives on Tuesday morning raided the home of former Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary (CS) Anne Waiguru.

The officers who claimed to have search warrants and court orders, also raided the homes of axed Planning Permanent Secretary Peter Mangiti and former National Youth Service (NYS) Director, Nelson Githinji.

The investigators reportedly conducted the search from 6.30am in pursuit of documents that could aid in the ongoing probe into Sh791 loss from NYS.

Lawyer Ahmedinasir Abdullahi who has been representing Waiguru confirmed the incident although he did not give detailed information.

“I am told some officers are at the home. I am headed there to see what they want,” he said according to Standard.

Waiguru resigned a week ago after being pressurized over numerous corruption allegations reported in departments under her ministry.
