The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has vowed to sue the Standard Group following a publication claiming that he had divorced his wife.
In a video recording, Sossion, alongside his wife, dismissed the allegations that he had parted ways with his wife, who he married last year.
The Secretary General maintained that they were still a pair and were spending quality time in their Bomet home, contrary to what had been reported by the Nairobian.
He affirmed that the story was a lie adding that he would sue the publication for malicious damage.
“We are here in Bomet and happy. What is in the Nairobian are lies and we shall sue the newspaper for malicious damage. We are here at our home and we are prepared for the day,” he stated.
The publication had splashed the story on Friday morning, claiming that Sossion had kicked out his wife, Vivian Kenduiywa, on allegations of cheating.
The paper claimed that Ms Kenduiywa was having a secret relationship behind Sossion's back with a wealthy man from Eldoret.
The Secretary General got married in April 2016 at the Attorney General's office in a private event attended by close family members and friends.
