World Reacts Hilariously After WhatsApp Goes Offline

Online messaging service WhatsApp went offline on Wednesday evening, leaving millions of users worldwide unable to communicate.

The Facebook-owned service went down at around midnight, affecting users across the world.

It was unclear what caused the issues with the largely popular online messaging service.

They, however, offered an apology after normal services resumed.

"Earlier, WhatsApp users in all parts of the world were unable to access WhatsApp for a few hours. We have now fixed the issue and apologise for the inconvenience," WhatsApp said in a statement.

This outage drew a variety of hilarious remarks from users all over the world and here are some of the tweets:

When everyone keeps saying WhatsApp was down last night, but you slept by 11pm & woke by 6 this morning to find 7 messages on your WhatsApp pic.twitter.com/rzPm33jqOe

Whatsapp is down. A billion people look up from their phones for the first time in 7 years. Everything seems so modern.
