10 Things Jacob Juma's Family Wants from Government

The family of slain businessman Jacob Juma has made a formal request to the government stating 10 things they needed to know regarding his death.

Speaking to the press on Friday morning, Juma's widow, Miriam Wairimu, asked the authorities to furnish them with the following information:

1. Who found Jacob Juma's bullet-riddled body?

2. At what time was the body taken to City mortuary?

3. Why was the family not notified by the police about the shooting yet he had all identification documents and was well known by Karen police officers?

4. Why didn't the police immediately secure the scene where the body and car were found?

5. How many hours did it take for the officers to secure the area for evidence?

6. The company and registration number of the car that towed the deceased's Mercedez Benz to the station.

7. Engagement of independent investigators such as Scotland Yard and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

8. Request to involve a private investigator to assist in conducting the probe.

9. CCTV footage tracking Jacob Juma's car to Ngong Road on the day he was killed.

10. Telephone data with details of mobile-network locator masts which Jacob Juma passed through on the fateful night of May 5.

During the address, the family pleaded for privacy urging the media to cease writing unfounded information regarding the murder.

The widow was speaking a day after she revealed that the authorities had not contacted her or sought her statement since Juma was shot dead, questioning the manner in which the investigations were being conducted.

Juma's body is set to be flown to Bungoma County where the burial will take place on Saturday.
