Isiolo Governor Godana Doyo is in trouble after a Meru Court issued a warrant for his arrest
Governor Doyo, who is affiliated with the Jubilee Party, failed to appear in court to answer to corruption charges.
The Governor is accused of having approved a false and misleading Sh3.3 Billion Supplementary budget.
In a second count, he was accused of failing to comply with regulations related to the incurring of public expenditure.
Earlier this month, officers from Ethics and Anti-corruption commission (EACC) were injured after being attacked by locals during a raid at the governor's house.
The officers had raided his house to search for evidence related to a multi-million road in the county that was never constructed.
