CS Eugene Wamalwa Advises Mudavadi How to Get Back in Government

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa on Tuesday advised Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi on what he needs to do for him to get back in government.

According to the CS, Mudavadi ought to abandon his quest of having a 'Mulembe' Party and incorporate national unity talks for him to be accepted by all people.

"Even if Mulembe party becomes a reality, Wetang’ula and Mudavadi cannot form the next government unless they enlist the support of other communities across the country,” exclaimed Wamalwa.

Speaking in Busia, Wamalwa also dismissed the call by the ANC leader together with his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula to have a Luhya Party claiming that it is a pipe dream.

He noted that the move by the two leaders is a political suicide adding that they need the support of all Kenyan communities to succeed, not just the Luhya community.

"What we want is politics of unity and the two leaders should join hands with the President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to unite the country," commented the CS.

Additionally, on Monday Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong further urged Wetangula and Mudavadi to shift from 2022 politics and 'get down to work.'

"Much time has been wasted on politics and election petitions. We now need to focus on development and forge a united and peaceful country,” the County boss affirmed.

The two NASA principals have been pushing for a formation of a Luhya Party aimed at increasing their chances of winning the next general polls.

However, their calls have been met with diverse reactions across the political divide.
