Dennis Itumbi Sued for Child Support

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi has landed in more trouble after a woman dragged him to court over child support on Thursday, September 5 as reported by Nation.

Through her lawyer, Enricah Dulo, the woman argued that Itumbi deserted her and the child she claimed he sired, since birth as per the affidavit in court.

According to the court papers, the woman also alleged that Itumbi refused to provide any form of maintenance knowing fully well that she is an orphan. She also disclosed that she had to quit her job before delivering the minor.

The papers also revealed that she was helpless, despite her unsuccessful efforts to reach Itumbi.

The woman, as per the sworn statement, disclosed that Itumbi once sent an emissary instead of meeting her himself.

"She is seeking Ksh 50,000 monthly subsistence allowance for the minor to cater for food, clothing, medicine, and house help salary," Dulo told the court through an affidavit.

The aggrieved woman also wants to include Itumbi's name in the minor's birth certificate and has asked the court to order Itumbi to provide a copy of his national identity card.

The oath further stated that the anonymous woman wants Itumbi to be allowed to visit the child but she should be granted actual and legal custody of the minor.

It also indicated that Itumbi and the woman were in a relationship for approximately one year, between January and August 2018, before they broke up.

"He ended the relationship sometime in August 2018, when the lady informed him that she was pregnant with his child. She successfully delivered a female child on June 14, this year," Dulo revealed.

Further allegations in the testimony revealed that Itumbi tried to convince the woman to terminate the pregnancy.

"Itumbi has since blocked her and she is unable to engage with him on any meaningful communication in regard to the welfare of the minor," the advocate lamented.

Our efforts to reach Itumbi for his comment on the story were futile.

The case will be mentioned on September 26.

Itumbi has a pending case in court over a fake letter in relation to an alleged assassination plot targeting Deputy President William Ruto.
