Misiko, who committed the act on Sunday, January 5, in Chembani, Bamburi in Mombasa County, left a 17-page suicide note, narrating why he killed his wife.

According to a report by Citizen TV's Raquel Muigai, the deceased is said to have titled the note 'Betrayal and its consequences'.

In the first two pages of the note, Misiko disclosed 18 instances where he felt betrayed by his wife, Ann Maghanga.

He alleged that Maghanga had taken away property that he had accumulated for 19 years, adding that he had taken away his land, church instruments and equipment.

Further, he claimed that his wife had accused him of sleeping with her sister and had previously stated that he always had a knife in their bed.

Misiko went on to allege that he always sent 90% of his money to his wife, who would take to social media to allege that he did not pay fees for the children.

The pastor concluded by stating that he wanted his belongings used during his funeral service.

"Whatever is mine, my children, instrument and equipment let them be used in my burial service in the village," he concluded.

A neighbour close to the couple stated that the two had long-running misunderstandings, something that did not please the congregants.

"The pastor and his wife were not in good terms, hence, congregants started leaving the church," Felix Kisiwa stated.
