Samuel Karanja, 24, has warmed the hearts of his village mates after he embarked on a mission to repair a road leading to a public hospital in Kiambu County.
Karanja dedicated his time to construct the road as an act of service to villagers who turned out in large numbers at a harambee and contributed money that saw his two sisters go to school.
The committed 24-year-old indicated that the villagers had on many occassions complained of the sorry state of the road but the government had not heard their cry.

"They contributed a lot of money which saw my sisters go to school. I just had to express my gratitude by doing something that would benefit the whole community," Karanja told Inooro FM reporters.
Awed by his actions, villagers indicated that they had not encountered anyone of Karanja's kind.
"We have gone for many harambees and contributed money in this neighbourhood but we have never seen anyone doing anything like what Karanja has done," a villager stated.
Some of the villagers have dedicated themselves to making Karanja, who has so far repaired two and a half kilometers, with food while others reward him with cash gifts.
"He has never asked for money to repair the road. He just does it from the goodness of his heart and he avails himself everyday without fail," one villager praised his efforts.
Villagers have called on the County Government of Kiambu to enroll him under the Kazi Mtaani initiative, a National Hygiene Program (NHP) launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta to cushion youth from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
While addressing National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) at KICC, the Head of State indicated that the project which had been allocated Ksh10 billion was personal to him.
"This is not a process of trying to get votes for any person - not an MP or any MCA. This is a process of protecting the most vulnerable people in our country during this particular period. I will follow this very closely," he stated.
