Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has resurfaced, after being notably absent in the public.

In a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, September 2, he explained that he had been admitted at Karen Hospital, Nairobi for the last 27 days.

He stated that the hospitalisation had given him much to think about and reflect on about the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I really hope that beyond all the debate around Covid-19, all and sundry will not forget that Coronavirus is real.

"The worst thing we can do is to lower our guard! And above all, let us remember our gallant front line workers,"

He added that apart from medics, subordinate staff who put their lives on the line of danger to give care to Covid-19 patients should also be recognised.

Kuria stated that for the last 27 days he had been hospitalised, he witnessed the amount of sacrifice frontline workers make.

"You learn to focus more on the virus and our frontline workers, and less on sideshows. We shall overcome Covid-19," he described his experience.

Reports of Moses Kuria's health status had been leaked on social media on August 30, by a group of Kenyans who also questioned his interaction with Deputy President William Ruto.

They wondered whether or not DP Ruto had been tested for Covid-19 due to his engagement with Kuria some weeks ago.

Kenyans.co.ke reached out to the DP's communications team after his status became the top trending topic on Sunday morning.

"I don't know, that is a personal matter," Emmanuel Talam responded on enquiry.
