A section of unemployed teachers have cried foul over the recent vacancies announced by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

They claimed that the job requirements favoured its interns, which disadvantaged them during the selection phase. 

Gas Prices Soar

A group of businessmen filed a petition against the government over the re-introduction of 16 percent tax on cooking gas. 

The group seeks to have the court freeze the changes which took effect on Thursday, July 1. 

Kidnapping Self

A boda boda rider was arrested after allegedy faking his own kidnap in a bid to swindle his wife off Ksh100,000.

Police reports indicated that the rider had claimed to be tied up. However, the rider was arrested while hiding at a friend's house. 

MCA Dies

Eldas MCA Ibrahim Abass died on Sunday, July 4, at Wajir airport while awaiting a medical emergency flight to Nairobi. The reports were confirmed by Wajir governor Ahmed Ali who took to social media to share the news.

He described Abass as a passionate leader who was dedicated to serving the people of Wajir. 

Truck On Fire

A campaign truck belonging to Murang'a governor Mwangi wa Iria caught fire during a public event. The truck was been used as a recruitment drive for his Usawa kwa Wote party.

Reports showed that the truck burst into flames under unclear circumstances which led to confusion and uproar among many attendees of the function. 

The governor, through the party, recently launched his campaign in a bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the upcoming 2022 General elections. 

Nitakufinya Man

Details have emerged on the nitakufinya man whose video has gone viral. Aaron Asiba Matendechere, who married two wives, is a father of nine children. Further, he lives in the Mukuru kwa Njenga slums. 

Matendechere informed journalists that he is jobless and pleaded for Kenyans to give him financial aid.

The viral man also explained his actions in the video affirming that he felt displeased as the interviewee, Charles Musyoka was berating Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), which led to him making the remarks.
