With five months to the August 9, General Election, political aspirants and parties will splash millions of shillings in branded merchandise, advertising and messaging among other campaign-related spend. As a result of this, a number of businesses will see a spike in orders and profits.

Kenyans.co.ke has compiled a list of businesses that will record the highest competition and run into profitability during the electioneering period.

Advertising Agencies and Media Houses

One of the oldest ways to reach out to voters is through advertising. This can be done through billboards, TV and radio.

The entertainment industry has always been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the political happenings in any country.

Artists and masters of ceremonies reap big during the campaigns. Politicians and political parties always hire these artists to electrify the crowds and stage performances before the main addresses by the speakers of the day.
