10,000 security officers will be charged with the heavy task of security during US President Barack Obama’s visit.
The officers will be drawn from different arms of the Kenyan Security Forces.
Speaking during a police briefing today, Nairobi County Police Chief Benson Kibue said the officers will be posted to various venues within the city.
They will be working in cooperation with US Secret Service Agents in the country.
The operation is expected to be in full force starting Friday when Obama lands in the country, all through to Sunday when he will be leaving.
Obama is expected to co-host the Global Entrepreneurship Summit with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Nairobi has witnesses a host of activities in preparation for the event including the scouting of grounds by US security agents.

Kibue sought to reassure Kenyans that Kenyan security forces are well prepared.
He also announced that major roads within and around the city will be closed at different times over the weekend.
