Benson Kipruto

Benson Kipruto, born on March 17, 1991, is a Kenyan long-distance runner and Olympic bronze medallist in the marathon.  

He is a four-time winner of the World Marathon Majors, having won the 2021 Boston Marathon, the 2022 Chicago Marathon, the 2024 Tokyo Marathon, and the 2025 New York City Marathon.

Bright Shitemi is a leading mental health advocate in 2025, actively shaping public discourse on mental health awareness in Kenya and across Africa.  

He founded Mental 360, an award-winning and leading mental health organisation in Kenya.  

Through it, he has delivered psychosocial support to over 10,000 at-risk youth, reached 2 million Kenyans through awareness campaigns, trained 500 youth as peer mental health champions, and employed over 100 specialists in the field.
