Joseph Ole Lenku

The 50-year-old politician is the second governor of Kajiado County after winning the 2017 General elections. 

Lenku served as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government from 2013 to 2014.

Kiraitu Murungi

Kiraitu Murungi is the incumbent governor of Meru County having been elected in 2017 on a Jubilee ticket. He also served as a Member of Parliament for South Imenti from 1992 to 2013, former Cabinet Minister, and former Senator for Meru County.

Ali Roba

Governor Ali Roba is the first governor of Mandera County after being elected in 2013 on a United Republic Party ticket. He was re-elected for another five-year term in 2017.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Nairobi. He also studied at Delta Qualiflight School of Aviation in Fort Worth, Texas.

Lee Kinyanjui

The incumbent governor of Nakuru County, Lee Kinyanjui clinched the seat on a Jubilee ticket in the 2017 General elections after unsuccessfully vying for the same seat in 2013. 

Having graduated with a bachelor's degree in literature from Kenyatta university, Kinyanjui later pursued a master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi. 

Jackson Mandago

Jackson Mandago is a Kenyan politician who serves as the first Governor of Uasin Gishu county having been elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2017 for his second term.

He graduated from Kenyatta University with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and later joined the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) to pursue procurement and strategic planning.

Alfred Mutua

Mutua is the governor of Machakos County since 2013 and the Party Leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap. 

The former Government Spokesperson has a BA in Journalism from Whitworth College in the United States and an MSc in Communication from Eastern Washington University. He also received his doctorate in Communication and Media from the University of Western Sydney in Australia.

Amason Kingi

Amason Kingi is the first and current governor of Kilifi County. He was elected to office in 2013 and successfully defended his seat in 2017 via the ODM ticket. 

Prior to his election as a governor, he was the Minister for Fisheries Development between 2010 to March 2013. He has also served as the Minister for the East African community between 2008 and 2010. 

Josephat Nanok

Nanok is the current governor of Turkana County and a member of the ODM party. He was elected to the office via the party ticket in 2017 - and defended a seat he won in 2013. 

He also served as the Chairman of Kenya's Council of Governors (COG) from May 2017 to January 2019. 

Anyang’ Nyong’o

He is the current governor of Kisumu County, serving his first term after being elected into office via an ODM ticket in 2017. 

The former MP of Kisumu Rural constituency has a Degree in Political Science from Uganda’s Makerere University and has a Master's and PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
