The Law Society of Kenya, through its Chairperson, Faith Odhiambo has called upon the international community to act after several individuals have been abducted.

Speaking in a press briefing, LSK condemned the arbitrary abductions that have been on the rise listing individuals who were incommunicado.

LSK stated that the international community had remained silent as human rights violations continued to happen in the country.

“First I have a message for the international community who for a second-week running has remained mum, quiet and, tight-lipped”.

“Are you proud of what is happening in Kenya, is this your Game plan for Kenya as a Non-Nato Ally?,” questioned LSK.

The lawyers also stated that there was a need to change tactics for the government while dealing with any opposition to policies.

Further, the LSK confirmed that the list of abductions had grown as more individuals went missing overnight and early Tuesday morning.

Among the list of those abducted included the LSK Chief of staff, Ernest Nyerere who was picked from his home at 5 Am on Tuesday.

Odhiambo confirmed that efforts to rescue him had remained futile as he was missing in all police stations.

According to Odhiambo, they had received a tip that he was at Kilimani Police Station but they failed to locate him at the said police station.

There have also been speculations that two students from the Kenya Schoool of Law have also been abducted.

Other X users who are suspected to have been abducted include; Drey Mwangi, TemperCR7, Harriet, Shad, Franje, Worldsmith and Hilla254.
