Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Alfred Keter and Oscar Sudi Vow to Support NASA

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will today begin a tour of the vote-rich Rift Valley region.

The ground is already charged for a major rebellion that could tear the Jubilee party apart and deny President Kenyatta the votes he needs to win the coming elections.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has been holding a series of rallies with the latest one in Eldoret where he led a host of other leaders in vowing to support opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Nandi Hills Member of Parliament (MP) Alfred Keter and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi threatened to mobilise the Kalenjin community in a protest vote against Jubilee in what could see Odinga make it to state house.

Attempts by the Deputy President to prevail upon the rebel MPs have so far proved futile as their demand has not been met.

The leaders demanded that Ruto should prevail upon independent gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop alias Buzeki to drop his bid.

The leaders also claim that Ruto and some members of the Jubilee administration are bankrolling Buzeki's campaign and support his candidature.

The rebel MPs vowed to sabotage Jubilee by supporting National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila if the issue was not resolved.

Reports indicate that the DP met the rebel leaders yesterday but nothing substantial came out of the meeting as their demands had not been met.
