Two children from Nyalenda in Kisumu County suffocated inside a broken car they were playing in, at a yard near their home.
The minors, who had disappeared for hours, locked themselves in the abandoned vehicle and were found by their distressed families after a search was launched in the area.
The deceased identified as Justin Bruno, 2, and Omondi, 1, were accompanied by their playmate John Mboyo who is fighting for his life at the Kisumu District hospital.
It is reported that children in the slum have been streaming to the desserted Kilo yard to play.
The unfortunate incient has caused extreme distress to the affected families.
