NASA Leaders to Appear in Court on Monday

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders are expected to appear in court on Monday in a suit against Moses Wetangula's bodyguard.

According to the Bungoma Senator, the leaders will appear in court as the defence witnesses for the bodyguard, Mr Simon Lonyia, who is charged with resisting arrest.

While Wetangula maintains that the Jubilee administration is frustrating his bodyguard, the courts found Mr Lonyia with a case to answer in the incident where he engaged in a scuffle with security officials at the Supreme Court.

Mr Lonyia was dramatically disarmed during the proceedings of the NASA election petition where he arrived in the company of NASA principals Raila OdingaMusalia MudavadiKalonzo Musyoka and Senator Wetangula.

The police constable was later said to have been dismissed from the force after the gun drama at the Supreme Court, claims that the police service commission denied.

After the back-and-forth with the police, Wetangula promised to defend Lonyia in court while conveying that the incident had affected his safety.
