Seven people have been arrested in Kisumu following a looting spree that saw Tumaini Supermarket broken into on Friday during the National Super Alliance's demonstrations.
CCTV cameras inside the supermarket are believed to have helped in identifying those behind the looting.
In the course of the NASA protests aimed at forcing out IEBC Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba, a section of the protesters forced their way into Tumaini Supermarket where they made away with various goods.
Some of the supermarket's employees who tried to stop the protesters from gaining access to the supermarket sustained injuries in the process.

Windows were smashed as well as violent protesters hurled stones.
A water supply pipe was also vandalized by a group of protesters.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a NASA-affiliate party has since released a statement distancing the coalition from the chaotic scenes witnessed in Kisumu.
The party's Executive Director Oduor Ong'wen claimed the absence of the police during the protests was deliberate and meant to delegitimize the protests.

He stated: "The deliberate and conspicuous absence of the police as this incident happened points to an unacceptable complicity and choreography for which the local police leadership must come out clean."
The statement further noted that it was the duty of the Police to protect property and called for speedy investigations into the matter.
