Kenyans were on Wednesday engaged in heated discussions that centred around President Uhuru Kenyatta's surprise visit to a Nairobi school where Standard 8 candidates were sitting their second day of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.

Under the topic Westlands Primary School, Kenyans on Twitter shared their comments on the President's visit, with many who were unaware of the visit learning about it as the commentators shared their views.

The President was accompanied by Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i who took him around the examination centre explaining procedures for the exam.

"My commitment is to ensure that the exams will continue as scheduled and that the future of our children is guaranteed," Kenyatta stated.

NCCK

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) trended for the second day running as netizens deliberated the demands the church council laid to President Kenyatta.

NCCK proposed that the Constitution be amended to create a position for the leader of Opposition in government.

The clergy added that the President should also consider reinstating the position of Prime Minister to help foster peace in the country.
