Mutahi Ngunyi Links Raila Odinga to Shooting of Children During Demos

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi on Wednesday linked National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga to the shooting of children during demonstrations.

Through his Twitter account, he noted that Mr Odinga is the beneficiary of the killings further questioning why the Police stray bullets always target children during protests.

This comes a day after a seven-year-old boy was shot and killed in Pipeline Estate on Tuesday as Police battled with NASA supporters.

Geoffrey Mutinda was playing in the balcony of their apartment, off Outer Ring Road, an area that had experienced protests.

He was allegedly killed by a stray bullet from a police gun as officers patrolled Pipeline estate.

An expectant woman was also shot and injured during the Tuesday protests.

A section of NASA politicians led by Former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale linked the killing to the alleged excessive force exerted by Police during the protests.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, on his part, stated: "I condemn the police killings today at Soweto in Embakasi East, we lost five prominent members of the society because of police brutality."

IPOA has already launched investigations into the shootings that occurred during President Uhuru Kenyatta's inauguration day.
