Deputy President Wiliam Ruto Meets NASA Governor At His Karen Home

Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesdaay met with Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba despite the Opposition coalition ascertaining that it will not recognise the Jubilee leadership.

The DP met with Governor Khaemba at his Karen residence in Nairobi only a day after he and President Uhuru Kenyatta were sworn into office.

Governor Khaemba was elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket which is under the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition.

The Deputy President stated that the two discussed how residents of the county would be issued with title deeds.

He further affirmed that they deliberated on the relocation of government facilities to allow expansion of Kitale town.

Moreover, DP Ruto affirmed the governments' commitment to the improvement of health infrastructure in order to ensure better service and thus attract investment which will advance the local economy.

This comes a day after Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, who was elected on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, became the only opposition governor to attend President Kenyatta’s inauguration.

He had earlier stated that all the 47 governors and their administrations would work closely with the national government under the leadership of President Kenyatta.
