Caroline Mutoko Praises Cyprian Nyakundi

Media Personality Caroline Mutoko on Friday praised blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, sarcastically thanking him for building her online brand.

Through her social media account, Ms Mutoko credited him for growing her numbers on social media for the past week.

She stated: "It would be wrong and unkind of me to end this wonderful week without thanking my number one fan Cyprian Nyakundi for the sheer magic he is able to work on my brand.

"In a world where there is no shortage of media there is a shortage of attention and you can't buy that. If there is one person who grows my numbers and keeps me top of mind even when I don't deserve it - it's Nyakundi. Say what you want about him, but the guy is my unpaid marketing machine,"

She concluded with: "Thank you Nyakundi! Mungu akubariki mpaka court case zako zimalizike (which loosely translates to May God bless you until all your court cases are settled).

Displaying statistics of the previous month, Ms Mutoko stated that her reach had grown by 25% while the views on her videos grew by 113% and the followers of her page increased by 59%.

Earlier in September, Ms Mutoko revealed that she was surprised when a video she did on why President Uhuru Kenyatta should let NASA leader Raila Odinga be the president went viral.

Mutoko elucidated that Mr Odinga commanded a lot of influence in the country and media houses have to include him in their stories to make sales.

In a video on her YouTube channel, Ms Mutoko stated that Raila sets the agenda for the whole nation and is more powerful at the moment as opposed to when he was the Prime Minister.

"He is enjoying power. He is very powerful at the moment and you've got to be naive not to even admit that.

"He was not powerful when he was Prime Minister, he had the trappings of power," stated Mutoko.
