Renowned lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, on Wednesday advised Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho that he should run for the Deputy President post in the 2022 elections.
Speaking during an interview on JKLive, the flamboyant Nairobi Lawyer disclosed that the ODM Governor had a bright future in national politics if he deputized a young candidate in the presidential polls.
"Sultan (referring to Joho) is a good candidate but he needs a strong partner and I'd advise him to run as a Deputy President and he stands a good chance if he gets a good candidate.

"He should go with a young politician like him and not run with his grandfather (referring to NASA leader Raila Odinga)," he opined.
Ahmednasir added that the Mombasa Governor had a strong support base already and a good partner would help him solidify more supporters for future political endeavours.

"He's popular with a certain age group. Moreover, he's popular in the Coast region and the Muslim community. Joho has a bright future," he conveyed.
The Nairobi lawyer was less than impressed when discussing the ODM leader's performance during his first term as Governor.
"He has done well but he could have done better. He has had many fights with government. If he had a cordial relationship with the government, he could have done much better," he stated.
Ahmednasir further observed that the relationship between Joho and NASA leader Raila Odinga was one-sided stating that the Former Prime Minister was more dependent on Joho.
"I think Baba (Raila) answers to Joho. There's more that baba wants from Joho than Joho needs from Baba," he explained.
