Jubilee Ready to Form Coalition With ODM - Aden Duale

The Majority Leader of the National Assembly, Aden Duale, on Wednesday, announced that Jubilee Party was ready to form a coalition with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for the 2022 General Election.

Speaking during a House session, Duale further stated that the ruling party was willing to join forces with any group that will want to merge with them for the 2022 elections.

Duale declared this while seconding Minority leader, John Mbadi's motion which seeks to resolve support for the initiative on Building Bridges between the various political parties in parliament.

However, Duale was quick to dismiss any hopes of having a different person as the Presidential Candidate in 2022.

He asserted: "Our succession agenda is very clear. Our striker is William Samoei Ruto, and we will ensure that he does not get injured until he scores the goal."

Additionally, Duale noted that if any other party joins them, they should be ready to take up a lower position since Jubilee has Ruto for the position.

Tabling the Motion, Mbadi highlighted that ODM is in full support of President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big Four agenda.

The motion tabled, intends to commend the pact made by the Head of State and Opposition chief Raila Odinga.

Members of Parliament (MPs) were on Wednesday debating the motion and upon agreement, the House will give special recognition to the two leaders and commit to support the agreement.

According to the motion, the MPs will support the objective of the initiative dubbed "Building Bridges to a new Kenyan Nation."
