Drama as Woman Forces Her way to Greet DP William Ruto

Drama ensued in Eldama Ravine after a woman who was reported to be a mother of two disrupted Deputy President William Ruto’s speech to seek an audience.

Security personnel, including the Deputy President’s bodyguards, tried to bar the unidentified woman from reaching the DP to no avail, forcing him to intervene.

The lady, together with her two children, headed to the podium as she shouted Ruto’s name.

The DP intervened to save the woman which saw the security personnel allow her to sit near other leaders while the DP promised to meet her after finishing his address.

According to witnesses, the woman was heard stating that she was homeless, jobless and had nothing to offer her children.

It, however, later emerged that the unidentified woman was left stranded as the DP rushed to his chopper without meeting her.

She is reported to have stayed calm as other leaders rose to meet the Deputy President while he was addressing the people.

Efforts by Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis to calm the woman failed to bear fruit as she kept shouting the DP’s name while he was addressing the crowd.

After DP Ruto left, none of the leaders, including the governor, showed concern with the woman or listened to her problems.

Notably, last month, Governor Kiptis met a woman from Baringo who was photographed braving heavy rains in an unsuccessful attempt to speak to the county boss who was inside his chopper.
