Lucy Wambui Ngirita, the mother to National Youth Suspect (NYS) scandal suspect Ann Ngirita has been taken ill.
Wambui, who is also a suspect in the Ksh9 billion heist, had informed the anti-corruption court Magistrate Douglas Ogoti that she was sick and required medical attention.
Following her application, Judge Ogoti directed prison authorities to escort her to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for treatment.

Her lawyer Cliff Ombeta had told the courts that her client had been unwell, and the medical attention at the remand was not enough for her.
The government counsel from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), however, did not oppose the application by Ann's mother.
The only request from the DPP was for Wambui to be taken to the referral hospital under guard.
Lucy is accused of scamming taxpayers Ksh5.4 million for supposedly supplying canned beans to NYS with her three children Phylis Njeri, Jeremiah and Ann implicated in various deals associated with the loss of Ksh468 million.
The court further directed the government agencies to ensure all accused persons to be granted maximum security after Jeremiah Ngirita revealed his relationship with the lead investigator in the case.
"All accused persons should be accorded security as long as in custody. The claims by accused cannot be taken lightly," Justice Ogoti directed.
Jeremiah had filed a damning complaint letter claiming that Chief Inspector Julius Muiya was his business partners.
Responding to the allegations, Muiya admitted that he was a friend to the Ngirita's but denied the alleged dealings in the NYS scandal.
Suspended Youth and Public Service PS Lillian Omollo was equally rushed to KNH on May 29 after she allegedly fainted with the DCI said to be probing her prolonged stay in the hospital.
