Desiigner Robbed During Kenyan Concert

Rogue attendees struck at a concert in Kenya where American rapper Desiigner was performing and tried to make away with his sneakers.

The rapper tried to crowd-surf but as soon as he was within reach, some individuals saw it as an opportunity to steal from him.

Desiigner, who is popular for his hit song Panda, could be heard shouting over his shoes as others tried to strip him of his trousers.

Crowd surfing is a move musicians make that involves jumping into a crowd which is supposed to support them and is mostly done at the peak of a performance.

The video of him shouting and photos on stage showing Desiigner without his shoes and a sock have since gone viral.

It is reported that the hip-hop artist was able to recover the sneakers, denying the robbers the satisfaction of owning such expensive shoes.

He was in the country to perform at the Jameson Connect alongside rappers Bas and Stefflon Don.

A number of artists have had a rough experience while in Kenya to perform due to crooks that see them as an opportunity to make money from their possessions.

In 2004, Sean Paul lost his phone when criminals masquerading as fans carried him up high in appreciation of his electrifying gig.

After Davido’s lacklustre performance at the Carnivore gardens in 2015, it is reported that his phone also went missing.
