DP William Ruto Promises Ksh50 Billion to Kiambu Residents

Deputy President William Ruto has promised Ksh50 billion to Kiambu County residents to uplift their living standards.

Speaking at PCEA Kenyatta Road where he presided over a church fundraiser, Ruto indicated that the money will be rolled out in the next few years.

According to the DP, the money will be channelled through various initiatives including a 10,000-unit housing project under the Big Four Agenda.

The houses will be built in major towns in the county including Thika, Juja, Limuru, Kiambu and Gatundu.

"The housing project will create employment for more than 50,000 youth from the county," Uhuru stated.

He was accompanied by Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Francis Munyua (Juja), Patrick Wainaina (Thika) and Didmus Barasa (Kimilili).

He further told those criticising him for crisscrossing the country that it was part of his mandate as the DP.

"I am asking my fellow Kenyans to stop panicking about Kenyan politics as it is only God who plans for tomorrow and not any human being.

"I'm yet to start my campaigns because when I start they will be in for a rude shock.

"People should stop panicking about my traversing the country saying it is 2022 campaigns," he stated in reference to sentiments by his political opponents.

The DP further noted that elected leaders have promises to their electorates which they need to fulfil rallying them to unite and deliver regardless of their political affiliation.
