CS Sicily Kariuki Speaks Out on DP Ruto's Assassination Plot

On Tuesday, Health Cabinet Secretary, Sicily Kariuki, refuted claims that she was part of the group that met at La Mada Hotel to plan the alleged assassination of Deputy President William Ruto.

The CS was speaking on Citizen TV morning show, dubbed Day Break, where she was invited to address health matters.

“There is God in heaven, and it is so sad imagining sitting down to plan such an allegation. I believe and know myself better than anyone else.

“The matter is under investigation and let it be so. I don’t want to be distracted as I have a lot on my plate to focus on,” Sicily defended herself.

Last week, DP Ruto had his first public encounter with the Health CS, after the assassination plot surfaced. The two met during Bob Collymore's memorial service at All Saints Cathedral.

On Monday, Interior Principal Secretary (PS), Karanja Kibicho, categorically ridiculed the alleged assassination plot against Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking during the commissioning of a borehole at Shauri Moyo Police Station in Nairobi, PS Kibicho maintained that the allegations were nothing more than mere rumours and propaganda.

The startling allegations arose after a letter (which has since turned out to be fake) surfaced, detailing the alleged plot to have DP Ruto assassinated, following meetings held at La Mada Hotel.

The infamous letter that implicated CSs, Peter Munya (Trade), Joseph Mucheru (ICT), James Kamau (Transport) and Sicily Kariuki (Health), was scrutinized and found to be fake.

Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communications Secretary, Dennis Itumbi, was arrested last week in connection to the origins of the aforementioned letter.
