Churchill & Jalang’o's Passionate Pleas to Esther Arunga [VIDEO]

On Friday morning, two renowned comedians, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill, and Felix Odiwour alias Jalang’o, sent out their passionate pleas to embattled former KTN anchor, Esther Arunga.

The two radio presenters, via their radio stations, felt that Esther had gone through pain, carried a lot of burden on her shoulders and had gloom and misery shadow her real self.

She should come back after the 10 months, apologise to her parents and Kenyans. We will forgive her and forget,” Churchill told Maina Kageni during their show Maina and King’ang’i at Classic 105.

Churchill further chipped in with a crucial idea on what Esther should do upon her return if she manages to heed his call.

She can then lookout for a small station, and open a new page in her life by building her career afresh,” Churchill added.

At Milele FM, Jalan’go concurred with Churchill’s sentiments.

In that last month of her parole, she should start putting her travelling papers (passport, ticket) in order and come back home to her mother and Kenyans.

She has gone through a lot and put her family in lots of trouble. I hope that will be the last chapter of her misery. That man Quincy Timberlake has hurt her,” an emotional Jalang’o told his fellow presenter Alex Mwakideu in their breakfast show.

On Thursday, incoming K24 journalist, Anne Kiguta, also spoke out on Arunga’s downfall, touching on several issues critical to women, upcoming journalists and media structures.

Kiguta stated that no one should be blamed, however, an individual media personality should work harder towards protecting themselves.

She also urged media houses to create structures to guide young journalists, and shield them from malicious political powers.

Esther, a lawyer by profession, was sentenced to 10 months in prison but was released on parole in Brisbane, Australia, after admitting she lied to the police about the death of her three-year-old son, Sinclair Timberlake.

Sinclair's father and former Kenyan presidential aspirant, Quincy Timberlake, was charged with his murder.
