Sossion, who could not hide his joy, stated that his daughter had already started her practice at one of Kenya's reputable firms, Oraro and Company Advocates.

"When the mother died, she was in form 2 and she has been a very strong girl in every way. After her first degree in law, I rewarded her with a car and after her second degree, I awarded her with a trip to the UK.

"Today, I am not giving you any gift, I am handing you over to the public. Deliver justice to the people that you represent," Sossion stated.

Leaders who graced the occasion included; ODM leader Raila Odinga, COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno.

Raila congratulated Chepkorir and awarded her with his autobiography, The Flame of Freedom.

Signing the book, the ODM leader stated, "In the hope that this will inspire you to dedicate your life in the service of our country, Kenya."

The ODM leader also used the platform to hit back at Deputy President William Ruto for his famous hustler slogan. He stated that all Kenyan presidents had come from humble backgrounds.

“I’m the son of the late Jaramogi Odinga, his father was a peasant, look at all the Kenyan presidents, Kenyatta, Kibaki and Moi, they all began poor, they were all hustlers,” Raila stated.

“We should not be telling Kenyans about poverty, our politics should be about our manifestos and what we will do for the people of Kenya," he added.
